In its second acquisition of the week, Millennium Entertainment has picked up U.S. rights to debut filmmaker Josh Boone’s “Writers,” which had its world premiere Sunday at the Toronto International Film Festival. The company acquired “What Maisie Knew,” directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel, on Wednesday. Greg Kinnear, Jennifer Connelly, Lily Collins, Logan Lerman, Nat Wolff, Liana Liberato and Kristen Bell star in “Writers,” which follows an acclaimed writer and his family over the course of a tumultuous year.
